Free Trial Databases for Illinois Residents

For the past sixteen years, the Illinois State Library has sponsored a free trial database program called Try-It! Illinois. Each fall, users of over 5,000 Illinois ILLINET libraries are given access to a myriad of databases to peruse.

Connecticut Opens Original Birth Certificates to Some Adoptees on 1 July 2015

In just over a week, Connecticut’s Public Act 14-133 will be in effect. That law allows some Connecticut adoptees to obtain original birth certificates.1
