Advancing Your Education: Genealogical Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP), Registration Opens on 16 February 2022

Registration for the Genealogical Institute of Pittsburgh’s 18 courses opens on Wednesday, 16 February 2022. The 2022 institute is virtual. New this year is the option to pay by credit card.

The institute model offers week-long courses on specific research areas. The education is so good that many students return to take additional courses.

GRIP courses will run in two different weeks this year: 19–24 June and 10–15 July. Registration for the June session begins at Noon Eastern Time, and July registration begins at 2 PM Eastern Time. To see a list of courses visit the GRIP courses page.

To learn more about the institute and how to register, visit the GRIP website. If you want to register on the 16th, set up a user account today so you are ready to go at opening.

If you want a class, my advice is to not hesitate. Most courses sell out quickly.

I will be teaching in Digging Deeper: Records, Tools, and Skills, which is coordinated by the ever-popular Paula Stuart-Warren, CG®, FMGS, FUGA. Paula has coordinated at GRIP since the institute was founded. Other instructors in the course include Cyndi Ingle of Cyndi’s List, and Cari Taplin, CG®.

This is GRIP’s 11th year.
